We used a new learning game to work with verbs. I set the timer for 3 minutes and cooperative teams worked together to jot down as many verbs as they could think of in that time. We later sorted them and cast out the words that were not verbs. Each team created their own anchor chart. They then were given a planning paper to decide who would act out which verbs from their chart for a verb video they would create. They had to decide on the who would be videophographer, and did they need props to act out their video. They made clean copies of the verb cards and checked the spelling to see if it was correct. They are in the process of creating their verb movies. Stay tuned!
