The weather has been so nice lately we have been able to go outside and practice our reading. Each students has a box full of books that are a "good fit" for them. Reading these types of books strengthen each students skills and allow them to become better readers. We are preparing to become 2nd graders. This individual reading time is critical in empowering each child.
This was another day where we went out and worked and read in the sunshine. We read, highlighted, and sang "Let's Go Fly a Kite." After that they all found a comfy spot and read from their book boxes.
